Neve
Neve’s journey began with a Great Pyrenees rescue group, and she was eventually placed with a family in Fort Worth at a very young age. In 2023, she found her way to her forever home with us in Central Texas. We renamed her Neve [Neev], which means “snow” in Portuguese. 

Typical of her breed, she is very protective of her “pack,” always watching through the windows for any “menace” looming around, and she can be quite the escape artist. Her favorite treats are broccoli and sweet potatoes. With her expressive hazel eyes, she is simply beautiful and a pure joy to have in our family.

Maple (In Memoriam)
Maple’s journey began as a stray in Izmir, Turkey. She was eventually brought to the United States by a Golden Retriever rescue group and joined our family in 2021, just days before the “snowmaggedon.” 

Despite a rough start, she always loved humans and preferred their company over that of other dogs. She was fond of her toys, long naps on the couch, and all kinds of fruit, especially berries and bananas. 

Heartbreakingly, Maple crossed the rainbow bridge two weeks ago. She left a deep void in our hearts, but also a lifetime of beauty and the kind of true love only nonhuman animals can offer. Golden Retrievers truly pay a price for their perfection far too early.
